Good vs Evil and Light vs Dark
- The whole issue of Good vs Evil and Light vs Dark is a controversial area.
As described in how we’ve been prisoners of our genes it appears we are not born as humans with a clean slate and unbiased, “naturally good” behavior. Our brains are programmed by our human genes to ensure propagation and survival of our genes as a primary objective.
One only has to look around the world to see the effects of this. One can also observe human behavior to see clearly that it is both good and evil.
From a spiritual viewpoint, good and evil / light and dark are opposite sides of the same coin. You can’t have one with out the other, in the same way you can’t have hot with cold, or up without down.
In terms of our spiritual development and taking into account why we’re here, it appears our key lesson is to make a conscious choice for one or the other path whilst we’re in this physical realm.
This is explained in detail in the Ra / Law Of One books at www.llresearch.org
Good or Evil?
The important thing to understand is that the path of good or light is not an automatic natural choice for us, in this realm at least.
The Ra books indicate that you can progress through other stages of (spiritual) evolution i.e. beyond our so-called third density, physical realm of Earth, even though you have chosen the dark (they call it self-serving) path.
Ultimately, you have to choose the path of good / light to progress beyond a certain stage in your (spiritual) evolution, but you can stay on the dark side for a long period beyond our realm.
I am not condoning or supporting the dark path, simply observing the reality of life and seeking the simplest explanation for this reality.
Who Is Running The Planet
Unfortunately the evidence indicates that the dark/evil side are in the dominant position on this planet at the current time. See Conspiracy Theories and Global Elites.
The Connection Between The Good / Light Paths and Sustainability
There’s a strong focus on sustainability through this site. The reason is that part of the waking process is becoming aware of the impact of all your actions – spiritual and physical.
As the Earth stands right now, over-consumption by a relatively small number of people is disadvantaging a huge number of other people, notably in the Third World.
As a result, many of these disadvantaged people have to devote too much time to ensure their basic, physical survival to have sufficient time to devote to their spiritual development, much less access the internet.
My assertion is you can’t be an unnecessary over-consumer and be fully conscious. It’s just not congruent behavior. Unfortunately over-consumption is now locked in (or was until very recently) as a right or a “way of life that is non-negotiable” for many OECD people.
We consume more per capita than we did 10 or 20 years ago and the “solution” to our economic problems is supposedly more growth.
This over-consumption way of life is programmed into the media and corporate messaging 24 by 7 because the more stuff you consume, the more profits they make. If you go into debt to do it, you become locked into the debt/consumption treadmill.
Actions You Can Take
- Wake up to who you really are
- Live simply – it will tune you into the cycles and seasons of Earth
- Try walking or cycling places – it’s healthy and invigorating and is sustainable
- Your body enjoys a rest from food and it clears your mind
- Having lots of “stuff” isn’t any guarantee of happiness
- Become aware how your actions directly or indirectly impact on other people
- Take a reasonable share for yourself, so there’s enough for everybody else
- On the other hand, if you then you needlessly over-consume you are actively disadvantaging the planet and other people e.g. your children
- This is a grey area but you could argue that conserving is choosing the light path whereas needless over-consumption is (unconsciously at least) choosing the dark path.
Ultimately the planet will resolve this one way or another. We can’t consume what the planet can’t physically produce.
